Linguistic virtuoso Koos Meinderts is a popular author of stories, poems and lyrics for children and adults. His work for younger readers is usually illustrated by his wife Annette Fienieg, who is both an illustrator of children’s books and a fine artist. They frequently work together as a team. As the figurehead and namesake of the school, the writer is also closely involved – together with his partner – in the development of the school’s new-build extension. They have worked on a variety of short texts and drawings that grace the corridors of the new sections: little gems that enrich the daily lives of students, teachers, and parents.
