Book Lunch x Gabrielle Lubliner

When: Thursday, 19 March
Time: 12:00 – 13:00
Where: Huis van het boek, Prinsessegracht 30, 2514 AP The Hague
Cost: Free admission, lunch included (language: English)

Every month, Huis van het boek hosts a Book Lunch, inviting a special guest to present a project they are working on for 10 to 15 minutes. Afterwards, there is an informal opportunity to meet and connect with one another.

Join us, over a sandwich, to hear from Gabrielle Lubliner. Over the past six months, visual artist Gabrielle Lubliner has been conducting research within the collection of Rijksmuseum Huis van het boek as part of a research residency set up in collaboration with Stroom Den Haag.

Lubliner has been exploring the unreadable books in the museum's collection — books that have lost their function as readable objects, for example because they are too fragile, severely damaged, or have been repurposed for another use.

On 19 March, Lubliner will present her findings during a Book Lunch at the museum and will organise a short-term exhibition of unreadable books from the collection. Some of these books have never been on display before!

Participation in the Book Lunch is free and no reservation is required. Want to make sure you have a spot, or do you have any questions? Feel free to get in touch at online@huisvanhetboek.nl.
