The exhibition “Das Böse ist ein Eichhörnchen” (Evil is a Squirrel) presented works by students as well as pieces by invited artists. The works were displayed in the long corridors of the Leipzig Regional Court, a location that represents the breadth of different media: the exhibition included performances in the courtroom and in public spaces, video works, sculptural works, and paintings. If Alice is the devil and the devil is a squirrel, what will be evil? This question is posed by Alba D'Urbano on page 85 of the publication “Das Böse ist ein Eichhörnchen” (Evil is a Squirrel), which reflects a critical examination of the theme of “evil” and the exhibition project of the same name over several years in a total of 1680 pages. The intermedia class of the Academy of Fine Arts. The title page is a reprint of the political satire magazine “Il Male” from July 29, 1980.
